Immersive Movement Retreat

A One Day Embodied Wellness Exprience in Abbotsford, BC

Repattern for Surrey: One-Day Wellness Retreat in the Mountains

Functional fitness meets nervous system regulation — just 45 minutes from home

Repattern is a one-day embodied wellness retreat held just outside Surrey — created for people ready to reset their relationship with movement and reconnect with themselves.

Set in a private mountain wellness venue in Abbotsford, BC, Repattern blends functional strength training, somatic awareness, and nervous system support — helping you feel stronger, more regulated, and more at home in your body.

Whether you’re based in Cloverdale, White Rock, Panorama Ridge, Fleetwood, or another Surrey neighbourhood, this retreat offers something rare: a nervous system-informed fitness experience just a short drive away.

Led by kinesiologist and personal trainer Anna Cruz (NASM CPT, founder of AC Fitness) and trauma therapist Danielle Palmer (MA, CCC, founder of Tidal Trauma Centre). Together they blend functional fitness conditioning with nervous system-informed embodiment.

A Short Drive from Surrey — A World Away from “Fitness Culture”

Repattern blends:

  • Functional strength training rooted in mindful alignment

  • Nervous system regulation informed by polyvagal theory

  • Somatic practices that honour your body’s pace and inner signals

This isn’t a bootcamp. It’s not therapy in disguise. It’s a return to strength that includes your full self — body, mind, and nervous system.

The Repattern Retreat: A Day to Move, Reflect, and Reset

A spacious day in the mountains. Curated by two expert facilitators.

Group size is limited. Everything is optional. Your body leads.
Optional 1:1 mini-sessions with Danielle or Anna are available during the afternoon.

🌿 Landing & Orientation

You’ll start with a calming, body-based practice to support grounding and safety. Danielle offers a short nervous system exercise to help you land softly and connect inward. Light refreshments provided.

🧠 Learning Through the Body

Together, we’ll explore how your body holds patterns shaped by stress, trauma, and habit—and how movement can become a form of insight. Danielle will guide you through foundational movement and nervous system concepts in an experiential, embodied way.

💪 Functional Fitness with Presence

Led by Anna, this session is about movement that supports real life: strength, mobility, and connection to your own rhythm. It’s fitness designed for how you want to feel.

🔥 Lunch & Community

Gather around a nutritious mountain barbecue with options for all bodies and needs. Whether you choose quiet reflection or shared conversation, this is a moment to nourish more than just your body.

🧊 Integration & Renewal

The afternoon opens into space for integration—journal, rest, or explore sensation with the outdoor sauna and cold plunge. Optional 1:1 sessions with Danielle or Anna are available to support your process.

This Is for You If You…

  • Live in Surrey, Cloverdale, White Rock, Fleetwood, or Panorama and are looking for a wellness retreat without driving hours away

  • Crave a more sustainable relationship with movement — one that includes your nervous system

  • Feel disillusioned by fitness spaces that disconnect you from your body or therapy that doesn’t include it

  • Want to feel strong, present, and more connected to yourself

  • Are curious about how somatic movement and nervous system awareness can support long-term well-being

Why Repattern Works

Repattern is built on the understanding that real, lasting change happens when the nervous system feels safe enough to explore new patterns.

This isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about moving with presence.

You’ll explore how your body:

  • Holds stress

  • Adapts to survival

  • Softens when given the right conditions

From there, you’ll practice building capacity — with strength, breath, and curiosity.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not quite — but it’s close. The event is hosted in Abbotsford, just a 45-minute drive from most areas of Surrey including Cloverdale, Panorama Ridge, Fleetwood, and White Rock. It’s designed for people who want a mountain retreat without a long commute.

  • You don’t need to be “fit,” but you do need a basic level of physical ability. The day includes a moderate forest hike and a full-body movement session, so some foundational strength, mobility, and cardio capacity is helpful. That said, everything is scalable. You’ll be encouraged to move in ways that feel supportive for your body, and there’s no expectation of perfection or performance. This retreat is designed for people who are curious about movement — not experts in it.

  • Comfortable movement clothes, a water bottle, supportive shoes for hiking and fitness, bathing suit, towel and layers for warmth (especially post-sauna or plunge). Morning snacks, lunch and all exercise equipment provided.

  • We get it. This retreat was designed to feel grounding, not performative. It’s not about wellness culture or curated identity — it’s about honest, intelligent movement in a thoughtful space. Come as you are. No pressure. Just presence.

  • Mini Training sessions with Anna ($75 for 20 minutes) focus on movement alignment, conditioning, or personalized feedback.

Mini Integration sessions with Danielle ($75 for 20 minutes) offer space to process anything emotional, mental, or somatic that comes up.

Sign-up will be available on-site during the retreat — first come, first served.

  • Yes — the day is intentionally spacious. You’ll have time between sessions to eat, integrate, rest, or sign up for 1:1 support. We’ve structured the retreat to honour both movement and stillness.

  • No. While Danielle is a clinical counsellor and brings a trauma-informed, somatic lens to her work, this retreat is not therapy. Repattern is an experiential, movement-based offering designed to support embodiment, self-awareness, and connection. It’s not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. If deeper emotional material arises during the retreat, you’ll be supported with grounding tools and the option to book a short integration session — but the space is not intended to process trauma in a clinical way.
