Person-Centered Therapy • Trauma-Informed & Narrative Lens • Couples, Families, Children & Youth • Compassionate and Practical Support

Allison is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (MC, RCC) with a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach. She works with children, youth, adults, couples, and families, creating a safe space for people to feel supported, empowered, and seen. Her goal is to meet clients where they are and help transform adversity into growth. Through a trauma-informed, narrative lens, Allison explores each client’s unique story in the context of their relationships, culture, and community.

Who Allison Works With

Allison works with clients across the lifespan, tailoring sessions to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals.

  • Children and Youth navigating emotional regulation, self-esteem, family dynamics, or social pressures can find support with Allison, who creates a space where younger clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings.

  • Adults working through life transitions, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or identity questions can find support with Allison, who helps them discover clarity, healing, and direction.

  • Couples rebuilding trust, navigating communication breakdowns, or strengthening their connection can work with Allison in a non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard and supported.

  • Families facing conflict, disconnection, or parenting struggles can find support with Allison, who helps them navigate challenges and restore connection by exploring patterns, roles, and emotional needs.

Approaches Used in Therapy

  • Person-Centered Therapy

Rooted in empathy, respect, and emotional safety. Sessions move at your pace and reflect your values.

  • Narrative Therapy

To help clients explore and rewrite the stories that shape their identity, relationships, and self-worth.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice

Creating safety in the room and honouring the body’s role in healing and protection.

  • Attachment & Systems-Aware Lens

Considering how family, culture, and social structures impact experience and healing.

  • Integrated Modalities

Allison draws from a range of approaches and adapts each session based on your needs, balancing reflection, conversation, and skill-building.

Allison values a direct but compassionate approach and wants clients to feel that sessions create movement and provide tools that apply between sessions, not just in the room.

What To Expect

Clients working with Allison often describe her as clear, steady, and deeply caring. She is an active listener who offers honest reflections while always maintaining a safe, respectful space. Sessions with Allison are collaborative and flexible, tailored to your goals and readiness. Whether you need structure, space to feel, or tools to try between sessions, Allison meets you there.

Outside The Therapy Room

Allison spends time with her dog, family, and close friends, and nurtures her creativity through arts and crafts. She’s a regular at Pilates several times a week, which helps support both her physical and mental wellbeing. Mindful practices like body scans help her stay connected to her needs and grounded in the present. She finds joy in small things and carves out intentional moments to sit with them.

What Grounds and Inspires Her

Music is a constant in Allison’s life, it grounds and moves her. She has a playlist for every mood and moment. Travel is also a powerful reset, offering both inspiration and energy. Whether she’s connecting deeply with loved ones or finding solitude, Allison is fueled by meaningful relationships and the quiet strength of time spent alone.
