Meet Audrey (she/her)

EMDR • Narrative Therapy • Emotionally Focused Therapy • Strength-Based • Trauma-Informed Approach

Audrey Carriere is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (MA, RCC) offering therapy both online and in person at our Coquitlam office. She brings a warm, steady, and person-centred approach to her work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and personal growth. With advanced training in EMDR and a strong foundation in both physical and mental health care, Audrey supports clients in reconnecting with their nervous systems and uncovering what they need to move forward.

Who Audrey Works With

Adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-worth struggles, trauma, or relationship patterns rooted in people-pleasing or childhood dynamics. Many of her clients are also working through ADHD, life transitions, or exploring their neurodivergence. Audrey meets them with care, respect, and curiosity, helping them reconnect with themselves and their inner resources.

Areas of Specialization

Audrey has a particular focus in:

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression and emotional overwhelm

  • Childhood trauma and inner child work

  • ADHD and executive functioning support

  • Car accident recovery and pain-related trauma

  • People pleasing, boundaries, and self-worth

  • Life transitions and identity changes

  • Abuse (emotional, physical, or sexual)

Clients describe Audrey as grounded, non-judgmental, and deeply respectful. Her ability to integrate both emotional and physiological awareness helps clients understand how their body and mind work together and how healing becomes possible when both are supported.

Approaches Used in Therapy

Audrey tailors her approach to each client, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities:

  • EMDR Therapy to help process past traumas and shift stuck emotional patterns

  • Narrative Therapy to explore how personal stories have shaped identity and possibilities

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen emotional insight and support relational healing

  • Solution-Focused Therapy for practical skills and short-term goal setting

  • Strength-Based and Trauma-Informed Approaches to support empowerment, nervous system regulation, and safety

Audrey’s holistic approach invites emotional safety, nervous system attunement, and meaningful insight, all at your own pace.
