Meet Danielle (she/her)
Founder | Team Lead | Trauma Therapist and Coach
Danielle Palmer (she/her) is the founder and clinical director of Tidal Trauma Centre. She leads the practice with a steady blend of attunement, clarity, and deep respect for the complexity of human healing. With a background in trauma therapy and a longstanding reputation for clinical integrity, Danielle now focuses on guiding the vision of Tidal and supporting the team of clinicians through case consultation, mentorship, and advanced training.
While Danielle no longer sees therapy clients individually, she continues to be deeply engaged in the clinical life of the practice. Her role includes stewarding Tidal’s therapeutic standards, consulting on complex cases, and helping each clinician bring their full intelligence, compassion, and presence into the room.
Danielle’s approach is rooted in body-based trauma therapies and integrates Observed Experiential Integration (OEI) Internal Family Systems (IFS) with somatic, relational and attachment-based approaches. Her work behind the scenes ensures that Tidal offers trauma-informed care that’s both rigorous and responsive—never rigid, always relational.
Clients often come to Tidal because they’re seeking more than coping skills. They want depth. They want something to shift. Danielle holds the vision for that kind of transformation and helps the team create conditions where real change can emerge.
Danielle lives in Vancouver, walks her dog Simon every morning, and believes that small, well-held moments can create lifelong impact.
