Meet Hameda (she/her)

Narrative Therapy • AEDP • Somatic & Attachment-Focused • Cultural Identity & Anti-Oppression

Hameda is an Associate Counsellor (MC, CCC) offering online therapy across British Columbia. Her approach is relational, inclusive, and rooted in both trauma-informed care and anti-oppressive practice. She draws from diverse therapeutic modalities to meet each client where they are, always centring emotional safety, lived experience, and a deep respect for cultural and personal identity.

Her philosophy of counselling is grounded in a quote by Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis:

“The ways you have learned to survive, may not be the ways you wish to continue to live.”

Whether you're navigating anxiety, identity shifts, systemic stress, or relationship rupture, Hameda creates a space that invites exploration, empowerment, and growth.

Who Hameda Works With

  • Youth & Young Adults navigating emotional regulation, identity development, family dynamics, or school-related pressures. Hameda’s calm and curious approach supports young people in making sense of their experiences and building a deeper connection to self.

  • Couples & Families looking for support around communication, roles, or conflict. Hameda works to strengthen the relationship system, offering insight into unspoken dynamics while building practical tools for repair and connection.

  • Adults carrying the weight of past trauma, cultural disconnection, internalized shame, or chronic stress. She is especially passionate about supporting racialized individuals and women in reclaiming their voices and reconnecting with their own values, boundaries, and truth.
